There hasn't been much going on in this area for a long time. It's funny, but when I stepped away from live
performances back in the 1990's, I never intended it to be semi-retirement.
Someone wrote me not too long ago and told me that I needed to get back into playing live. He offered to loan me a
bass cabinet if I'd just pick up the old Alembic and sallie forth to give battle again.
I do miss it. But all things come in their own time. The reason I stopped playing in the first place was that I
grew weary of playing a supporting role for ever desperate wanna-be rock star. Or worse, playing a supporting role
to the budding artiste whose musical agenda was more important than anyone elses.
I'm looking forward to doing some shows late in the year. Especially once the CD is made and I have something to
support. Hell, I might even sign up with a local band here in Saint Petersburg, Florida, just to get back into
fighting form.
Whatever I do, I'll make sure to let you know. And hopefully if you're bored enough to come to one of the shows,
I can make sure it's a night you'll remember.
