Well, yet another hosting provider has turned out to be pretty much useless. I’m beginning to wonder if it has something to do with my own personal gremlins, and that they find ways of infecting the systems that I use. Not that it matters. In the end, what matters is that my host, although more than adequate for years now, has in the last few months gone down the proverbial tubes. If you’ve visited any of my sites at all, you’ve no doubt noticed that most of my domains have crawled almost to a halt. This simply will not do.
I’ve found another host, and will be moving the web sites in the following weeks and months. I’m not going to try to get it all done at once, but am going to prioritize the domains. For example, the Malleus Maleficarum must be online and useable, and it’ll be getting top treatment. Beyond that, I guess I’ll focus on my own web site, since my genealogy pages are quite popular. From there, who knows?
Anyway, I wanted to apologize ahead of time for any disruptions. There’s not much I can do about it. Luckily, most of my web site are SQL based and won’t be that big of a deal to get back up and running. I know, I know. Famous last words. But we all do what we can. Hope to see you on the other side.
