I started writing the introduction to the Mama Peggy cookbook today. I don’t know what we’re going to wind up with, but I know it needs to be done. It’s high-time I got a move on with it. If you don’t know what this is, my mother, Peggy Chaney, always wanted to put together a cookbook. Well, I’m going to finish that for her. It will share the title of her web site, where she loved to post recipes, and through which she got to talk to people about one of her favorite subjects… food. The cookbook will be titled “Mama Peggy’s Recipes & Ruminations”
The cookbook will include plenty of the most popular recipes from her 20+ years at Peggy’s Restaurant (many of which are already on her web site), bunches of Mama’s other favorite recipes, as well as some of her writings from her online blog and private dairy.
If you knew Mama, I’ll probably be bugging you in the future about recipes you might want to see in the cookbook. Hopefully together we can make this into something Mama would have been proud of.
