I’ve re-worked the Archives menu so that it will allow visitors to The Watch to view our old archives at Yahoo! Groups. I’ve pretty much decided against importing all of those old post into the blog, for various reasons. With over 1,000 posts through the years, the sheer logistics are simply unreasonable. Also, most of those older posts were little more than me forwarding on stories to subscribers to the old list. So there are copyright issues concerning republishing them. Right now I figure we’ll just leave those be, and simply move on with what we have now. Anyone who wishes to can access those old posts going back to 1999, but it won’t get in the way of moving forward.
I want to take the opportunity to thank those who have stayed with me through the years. There have been various changes, and The Watch has been moved around to various web sites at times, but there are a lot of people who have stuck with me through it all. Hopefully most of you will stick with me as The Watch becomes more of a personal weekly column rather than a means for spreading news (like it used to be). I hope you’ll stick around. I’ll certainly try to make it worth the effort.
