Wic In Chinese

Those characters represent the most surreal thing to happen to me today. I’m not sure, but I believe that’s my name in Chinese. If you can’t see the characters, you must not have a Chinese font installed. That’s one reason I assume it’s Chinese. I don’t have a Taiwanese font on my computer.
I came across a translation of the introduction I wrote to the Malleus Maleficarum web site on a web page in Taiwan. Okay, it’s really bizarre to see something I’ve written translated into Chinese. But it says a lot about the validity of the introduction that it’s taken on a life of its own.
I took down the introduction because some people whined about bias. Now I’m beginning to wonder if I should put it back up. Maybe not on the Malleus site itself. But I could certainly put it on my web site, and then put a link on the Malleus site. All of the perceived biases would be intact, but it would clearly be on my personal web site and therefore my personal opinion.
Hell. Why not?
